- NIV Compact Bible Commentary by John Sailhamer
This is a good little Bible Commentary that is different than your typical commentary. It isn't overly academic but still helps bring clarity to difficult passages in the Bible while also showing that the entire Bible is a connected story that leads to Jesus.  Oh, and its super cheap!
